STOCKMAN'S BAR
For owner Brett Evje, Stockman’s is rooted in both Montana history and a lifelong appreciation for old Western saloons. A fifth-generation Montanan whose father owned the Two Bit Saloon in Gardiner, Evje designed the interiors to feel elevated and established, drawing inspiration from historic bars like The Montana in Miles City and from period pieces collected over time.
At the center of the space is a 1900-era Brunswick-Balke-Collender Mount Oro back bar, paired with a mahogany front bar, mosaic tile floors, coffered ceilings and period lighting. Those architectural elements give the new space the presence and permanence of an old Western saloon without making it feel like a reproduction.
